Arnold Roussine

ROUSSINE, Arnold of Island Park passed away on December 23, 2023 after a brief illness; he was 88.  Beloved husband of the late Hermine.  Loving father of Marla (Dennis) Rivera and Joseph (Emilia) Roussine.  Doting grandfather of Leslie, David, Bryan, Gregory, and Rachel, and great-grandfather of Ariana, Clementine, Francesca, Wyatt, CoraLee, Charlotte, and Elizabeth. Dear brother of Sylvia (Herman) Velasquez.  Brother-in-law of Terry (the late Warren), Ronald, and CoraLee.

Mr. Roussine was a retired NYPD 1st Grade Detective with a storied 36 year career with the Forensics Department. During his career, he was featured in numerous articles in the New York Times, New York Post, and Daily News which highlighted his expertise as a crime scene specialist. He was also featured on a BBC Documentary: Anatomy of a Crime Scene.

Mr. Roussine was considered a trusted colleague and loyal friend.  He was very passionate and dedicated to his career.

Funeral service on Thursday, December 28, 2023, 11:30 a.m. at Kleinberg Funeral Services, 3930 Long Beach Rd., Island Park, NY with interment to follow at Wellwood Cemetery, West Babylon, NY.
