Rosalie 'Ricki' Cerino

August 12, 1938 — June 1, 2024

Ricki was born under the zodiac sign of Leo. And what a Lioness she was! Her sometimes-streaked blond hair was her mane;

her deep voice was her purr. Her boisterous roar when she was angry shook the ground. And be careful when that one eyebrow would raise up. That was a signal of something sarcastic or funny was about to be said.

But beneath the strong, powerful, sometimes intimidating woman, Ricki was a huggable kitten ----- A Mouch! (sp?} She was a protective mother, a hard-working woman and loyal friend .

She was a staunch liberal who accepted anyone and everyone who had compassion and love in their heart. She loved talking about politics and had no patience for stupidity or idleness.

She would have loved to work with Woody Allen, Sydney Pollack or any director that loved NY. She adored the theatre and British movies and TV, especially Downton Abby.

Ricki could have been a star playing anyone from Norma Desmond in Sunset Blvd. to Vera Charles in Mame. She could dish out a sarcastic line with the best of them. She will always be my Bosom Buddie,  Friend, sister and Pal.

I'll see you at the theatre in the sky, Ricki,  and then go for a double vodka after.
